Arlon PCB prototype products can be divided into two categories.

Electronic materials include highly reliable polyimides (33n, 35n, 85n), which are mainly used in PCB with high requirements for temperature and service environment, such as control system of aerospace equipment, semiconductor aging test, oil drilling and other fields, as well as the processing of PCB with very high layers. This material has the highest glass transition temperature (tg250c) and very high cracking temperature (TD 380c).


Thermount (55nt, 55st, 55rt) materials of Arlon PCB have very good dimensional stability (CTE) and are suitable for bare chip packaging. Due to the non-woven resin fiber characteristics of thermount, it is very suitable for high-density laser drilling, anti-caf and light weight. It is suitable for highly reliable electronic products with high requirements for PCB weight. Such as high-end packaging substrate, navigation system, alvih process, etc.


The no-flow (47N, 49n, 99n) series of Arlon PCB is used for rigid flex bonding plate and heat dissipation cold plate. It is widely used in automobile and high-power fields.

Arlon PCB thermal conductivity series (99n, 99ml) materials also have good prospects in LED and high-power power supply.

The 11n material developed in recent years has 220tg and 310td. It also has very good application prospects in high-speed backplane, digital analog hybrid microwave communication, semiconductor testing and other products.


Microwave material is another kind of material of Arlon PCB, DK2 2 to 10.2.

Pure PTFE has different reinforcement materials (glass woven fabric, non-woven glass fiber).

CLTE is PTFE filled with ceramic powder. It has excellent temperature stability (DK remains unchanged with temperature and CTE is also very small). It can be made into 64 layers at most on global communication satellites. Other ceramic powder filled PTFE has a variety of dielectric constants, which is suitable for processing multilayer microwave printed boards. These products are widely used in mobile phones, antennas, electronic systems of base stations, wireless broadband and the Internet.

Arlon PCB unique light foam material FOAMCLAD is dedicated to base station antenna, RFID and other applications. It has the characteristics of low cost, small loss and small surface wave.


The TC350 of Arlon PCB is a woven glass fiber reinforced ceramic filled PTFE composite PCB material, which is used as the substrate of printed circuit board. TC350 PCB material is designed to provide enhanced heat transfer through "best in class" thermal conductivity while reducing dielectric loss and insertion loss. Lower losses result in higher amplifier and antenna gain / efficiency.

The thermal conductivity of TC350 improves the power processing capacity, reduces hot spots and improves the reliability of the equipment.


This high heat transfer in the Arlon PCB substrate complements the design using coins, radiators or thermal vias, providing designers with additional design margin to manage heat. In a design with limited thermal management options, the TC350 significantly improves the heat transfer of the main heat path through the laminate. This will reduce the junction temperature and prolong the life of active components, which is very important to improve the reliability of power amplifier, prolong MTBF and reduce warranty cost. In addition, lower operating temperature and chip matching thermal expansion characteristics provide better reliability for component connection prone to solder fatigue, solder softening and joint failure.

TC350 has excellent dielectric constant stability in a wide temperature range. This helps power amplifier and antenna designers maximize the gain and minimize the dead band bandwidth loss caused by dielectric constant drift when the operating temperature changes.


The stability of dielectric constant is also very important for phase and impedance sensitive devices, such as network transformer for power amplifier circuit or Wilkinson voltage divider impedance matching network.

TC350 has a low Z-direction CTE matching copper. This feature provides unparalleled reliability of plated through holes.

TC350 is a kind of "soft substrate", which is relatively insensitive to the stress generated by vibration and the impact required by today's drop test.

TC350 uses microwave grade low section copper and has strong adhesion with copper. Unlike ceramic hydrocarbons that require the use of "toothed copper" to achieve acceptable bonding, TC350 uses relatively smooth copper. This leads to even lower insertion loss due to the skin effect loss of copper. The skin effect loss of copper is more obvious at higher RF and microwave frequencies.
