Features of TACONIC RF-35

1. TACONIC RF-35 is an organic ceramic laminate material.

2. TACONIC RF-35 is a reinforced glass material based on glass fiber cloth, which is a combination of ceramic filling technology and glass fiber coated teflon PCB technology.

3. RF-35 is the best choice for low-cost, high-volume commercial microwave and wireless frequency applications.

3. RF-35 1/20Z and 10Z copper foil boards, even if standard epoxy materials are used, have excellent peel strength and can be reworked at any time.

4. The glass transition temperature of RF-35-35. Over 315 degree Celsius.

5. RF-35's ultra-low water absorption and low loss factor minimize the phase shift in the frequency range.

6. Due to the use of glass fiber cloth in its design and development, the dimensional stability of RF-35.

7. RF-35 laminate materials, generally single-sided or double-sided 1/20Z, 10Z and 20Z thick electrolyte copper foil. Different sizes of PCB can be selected according to requirements.

Taconic's high-frequency PCB board materials are all based on polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), commonly known as Teflon (Teflon), is a resin with very low loss, with a dielectric constant of about 2.0. In addition, Teflon is a very good insulating material, which is not easy to be dirty, does not absorb water, is wear-resistant, resistant to high and low temperatures, and is resistant to corrosion. It is often used to make cables. Another well-known application is non-stick pans. In the same way, Taconic uses Teflon for high-frequency plates as well as industrial materials and building materials. In addition to Taconic, Rogers is the industry that uses Teflon as a high-frequency PCB board material.

The dielectric constant (Dk) of Tanconic's Teflon high-frequency PCB sheets ranges from 2.17 to 10, and the frequency covers the frequency band from 2GHz to 110GHz. Tangent loss (Df)<0.0025@2GHz, the stability of Dk is very good, that is, with the change of frequency and temperature, Dk will not change significantly. The familiar FR4 is far inferior in these indicators. Take the best FR4 I know as an example, the Dk of Panasonic R-5755 is 3.5, Df is 0.004 (1MHz), R-5715J at 1MHz Dk=3.9, Df=0.01, when the frequency is increased to 1GHz, Dk=3.6, which is still FR4 with low dielectric constant, ordinary FR4 changes more greatly as the frequency increases.

Taconic mainly provides PTFE/woven glass fiber woven sheets for the microwave, radio frequency (RF) and high-speed digital signal processing markets, which are used in LNAs, LNBs, PCS/PCN antenna systems, GPS and UMTS antenna systems, and power amplifiers. Passive components, collision avoidance radar systems, aviation-assisted remote control technology and phased array radar systems. Demonstrated different applications, from a coin-sized 3dB bridge to a 110-inch antenna, from a cheap tuner, from a dielectric thickness of 0.13mm to 3.18mm, from a low frequency to a high frequency, from a double panel to a mixed multi-layer high frequency PCB Hybrid board, from microstrip line to stripline.

Taconic has a history of 40 years and has produced high-frequency PCB materials for nearly 20 years. It is also the largest supplier of high-frequency PCB materials. It is headquartered in the United States and the Asia-Pacific headquarter is in South Korea. Teflon sheets can be used not only for high frequency but also for high speed. Very good board for the circuit. The main competitor is Rogers.
