PCB, also known as printed circuit board and printed circuit board, is an important electronic component and is known as the "mother of electronic components". Among them, the copper clad laminate is the substrate material for making printed circuit boards. It is used to support various components, and can achieve electrical connection or electrical insulation between them. So, how much do you know about the basic knowledge of PCB board?

First, the classification of PCB boards

        1. According to different reinforcement materials, it can be divided into five categories: paper base, glass fiber cloth base, composite base (CEM series), multi-layer laminate base and special material base (ceramic, metal core base).

        2. Classified according to different resin adhesives used:

              (1) Common paper-based CCI includes phenolic resin (XPc, XxxPC, FR-1, FR-2, etc.), epoxy resin (FE-3), polyester resin and other types.

              (2) The common glass fiber cloth base CCL has epoxy resin (FR-4, FR-5).

              (3) Other special resins: bismaleimide modified triazine resin (BT), polyimide resin (PI), diphenylene ether resin (PPO), maleic anhydride imine-benzene Vinyl resin (MS), polycyanate resin, polyolefin resin, etc.

       3. According to the classification of CCL's flame-retardant performance, it can be divided into flame-retardant type (UL94-VO, UL94-V1 level) and non-flame-retardant type (UL94-HB level).

       Note: In recent years, with the attention to environmental protection issues, a new type of CCL that does not contain bromine has been separated from the flame-retardant CCL, which is called "green flame-retardant CCL".

       4. From the performance classification of CCL, it can be divided into general performance CCL, low dielectric constant CCL, high heat resistance CCL (board L above 150 ℃), low thermal expansion coefficient CCL (for packaging substrates) and other types.

Second, the main standards of the board

        1. National standard: GB/T4721-47221992 and GB4723-4725-1992. The standard of Taiwan, China is the CNS standard.

        2. International standards: Japanese standard JIS, American standard ASTM, NEMA, MIL, IPc, ANSI, UL, British standard Bs, German standard DIN, VDE, French standard NFC, UTE, Canadian standard CSA, Australian standard AS, international standard IEC Wait.

Three, detailed explanation of the parameters of the plate

       Common parameters are as follows:

       1. 94HB: Ordinary cardboard, not fireproof (the lowest grade material, die punching, can not be used as a power supply board);

       2. 94V0: Flame-retardant cardboard (punched by die);

       3. 22F: Single-sided semi-glass fiber board (punched by die);

       4. CEM-1: Single-sided fiberglass board (computer drilling is necessary, not die punching)

       5. CEM-3: Double-sided half glass fiber board (simple double-sided board can use this material)

       6. FR-4: Double-sided fiberglass board.

       7. Other:

              (1) The classification of flame retardant properties can be divided into four types: 94VO-V-1 -V-2 -94HB;

              (2) Semi-cured film: 1080=0.0712mm, 2116=0.1143mm, 7628=0.1778mm;

              (3) FR4 and CEM-3 all refer to plates, FR4 is glass fiber board, and cem3 is composite substrate;

              (4) Halogen-free refers to the base material that does not contain halogen (fluorine, bromine, iodine and other elements), because bromine will produce toxic gas when burned, environmental protection requirements;

              (5) Tg is the glass transition temperature, that is, the melting point;

Fourth, the sheet manufacturing process

         Copper foil substrate is the key basic material for the production of printed circuit boards. Its manufacturing process: mixes solvents, hardeners, accelerators, resins, etc., and mixes them together, and immerses them with reinforcing materials such as fiberglass cloth to form a film; Film inspection process, and cut and stack, then add copper foil, after hot pressing, cutting, inspection and cutting, the final copper foil substrate is made.
