The PCB actually refers to PCB board, is a kind of light board, not a control board. The difference between the two is that the control board is a multi-functional board formed after the PCB board is affixed with the components through SMT.

In fact, it is PCB board mounting process, that is to say, PCB empty board goes through SMT, and then through the whole manufacturing process of DIP plug-in, referred to as PCBA manufacturing process. The charging pile control board is actually PCBA board.

The difference between charging pile and ordinary circuit board:


1. The difference of copper material thickness


Charging pile battery circuit board circuit is wider, mostly thick copper plate, much thicker than ordinary plate, thickness is usually inner layer (1.6mm-5.0mm). There are two reasons for this distinction:


a. The charging pile plate has A large current and A high voltage. If it is A thin plate, it is easy to heat and burn off.


b. The charging pile plate shall be resistant to high voltage, and the thickness of the insulation layer shall be larger. Besides, there are many and heavy electronic components after SMT, and the thick plate is not easy to be deformed and damaged.


2. The difference between the grades of copper plates


As the charging pile plate is a high-voltage power supply plate, although it is made of copper material, there are certain differences in grade. Ordinary plate material is below ordinary TG140, charging pile circuit board material is generally above medium TG150, and high TG is 170. The data are grade parameters, the higher the grade, the better the temperature resistance effect, the higher the quality of the plate.


3. Differences in appearance


The charging pile belongs to the supporting type of products around the automobile, and it is not allowed to have defects of the line, residual copper on the line side, yellow welding on the hole side and other problems. Some customers implement IPC Level III standards and zero defect acceptance specifications, which are much stricter than general consumer PCBS.

Although there are only two differences between the charging pile circuit board and the ordinary board, it seems simple, but in fact, it has higher requirements, and not every board factory can do it. The board itself should be too high current and voltage, which can be used to test the battery. The design of the circuit board is particularly important. It not only needs to consider the charging pile, but also the demand voltage of the car.
