They often consciously or unconsciously promote the color of the PCB, using black-themed advertisements such as high-quality black PCBs, black high-end PCBs, etc. to promote their company's products.

In the electronics manufacturing industry, PCBs mainly come in several colors, such as yellow, blue, red, black, etc., which have evolved different levels of PCB quality. Often when propagating, the manufacturer will tell you the quality of our products with colors. But, in fact, is the quality of a PCB really tied to its color? Is it really determined by its color?


The raw material of PCB is actually glass fiber and resin that we usually see everywhere. The PCB substrate is a heat-insulating, insulating and non-flexible substrate formed by a series of processing such as bonding and hardening of glass fiber and resin. The PCB substrate is insulated, and we naturally cannot use the PCB substrate to conduct signals, so a layer of copper is covered on the surface of the substrate to form a copper-clad substrate, which is the so-called PCB substrate.


The black PCB first appeared in 2007. At that time, because the public version of the graphics card used a black PCB in its design, this also led downstream manufacturers to follow their knowledge and apply their knowledge. Black PCB has many inconvenient design factors, which also makes major PCBA processing manufacturers carefully consider when selecting PCB substrates. Therefore, red PCB, blue PCB and other colors occupy most of the PCB industry market, and only in Only high-end products are fortunate enough to see black PCBs, which indirectly proves that black PCBs are high-quality PCBs, and allows everyone to directly imply the definition of black PCBs.


However, many unsophisticated manufacturers use the customer's mentality to use black PCBs in low and mid-end products to pretend to be high-quality and high-performance PCBs. So we can't believe that black is high-end rumors. Of course, the black PCB also has some unique advantages, such as higher visibility of the text marking the welded parts and good visual effects.


Finally, it is emphasized that wanting to cover up the company's products with black is a self-defeating performance. If such a company blindly cut corners, it will die in the vast PCB arena.
