In order to control the static electricity within the applicable range standard, the following aspects are mainly needed:


1. Grounding refers to the place where charge may accumulate in the patch processing plant, such as SMT equipment, other workbenches, etc. The principle of wire grounding is the same as that of lightning rods. As for why we are connected to the earth, it is because the earth is an object with a very low resistance and a large capacitance, and it has the ability to absorb an infinite amount of charge so that the potential remains unchanged.

2. PCBA factories should control the humidity of the patch shop. The dry and windy autumn and winter season is prone to static electricity, and the rainy spring and summer season is relatively less. In view of this phenomenon, ULiESD has studied the humidity of static electricity and concluded that static electricity will decrease when the ambient temperature is relatively high. Therefore, the use of air conditioning and other equipment to control environmental humidity in SMT workshops can effectively control the generation of static electricity to a certain extent.

3. Antistatic materials are used in patch factories. Antistatic materials use so-called electrostatic conductors with surface resistance less than 1105 and electrostatic conductors with surface resistance between 1105 and 1108. For example, the rubber surface resistance with conductive carbon black can be controlled below 1106, which is also one of the commonly used electrostatic protection materials.

4. Operators of SMT patch factory must wear uniform anti-static clothing in the workshops during PCBA processing. The generation of static electricity is the transfer and accumulation of charge, which is more likely to occur between different substances. Unified anti-static clothing, convenient for SMT shop overall anti-static.

5. Smt smear factory workers must wear anti-static wristbands when they work in SMT shop. When they work in SMT shop, related workers of the smear factory often touch the components. At this time, the static electricity on their body can easily cause damage to the parts. Therefore, employees of SMT patch factories must wear static wristbands for operation.
