Since SMT has so many advantages and has become mainstream now, is THT obsolete or is it no longer in use? This is not the case. Many PCBs still use THT. Although SMT is convenient for automated production, its overall process is not as simple as THT, and the cost of THT basic materials is lower and the investment is relatively small. The product is not demanding, some SMT can not be realized, THT must be used, and its applicable product types are more.
