First, as a printed circuit board, PCB mainly provides interconnection between electronic components. Color is not directly related to performance, and differences in pigments do not affect electrical properties. The performance of PCB boards is determined by the material used (high Q value), wiring design and several layers of boards. However, in the process of washing PCB, black is the most prone to cause discoloration. If there is a slight discrepancy between the raw materials used in the PCB factory and the process, it will cause an increase in the rate of poor PCB. This directly leads to increased production costs.

In fact, the raw materials of PCB are everywhere in our daily life, which are glass fibers and resins. The combination and hardening of glass fibers with resins results in a heat-resistant, insulated and non-bendable board, which is the PCB baseboard. Of course, PCB substrates made of glass fibers and resins alone cannot transmit signals, so on PCB substrates, the manufacturer covers the surface with a layer of copper, so PCB substrates can also be called copper clad substrates.

Because the circuit wiring of black PCB is difficult to recognize, it will be more difficult to repair and debug in the R&D and post-sales stages. Generally, black PCB will not be easy to use without the strong brand of RD (R&D) designers and powerful maintenance teams. It can be said that the use of black PCB is a brand's confidence in RD design and post-maintenance teams, and from the side, it is also a reflection of manufacturers'confidence in their own strength.

For these reasons, major manufacturers will carefully consider when choosing PCB design for their products. Therefore, a large number of products shipped in the market that year mostly use red PCB, green PCB or blue PCB, only in high-end or top flagship products can see the situation of black PCB, so customers should no longer think that black PCB is better than green PCB.
