PCB bare board refers to a printed circuit board that has not added any through holes or electronic components. They are often referred to as bare PCB boards, sometimes also known as PCBs. Blank PCB boards only have basic channels, patterns, metal coatings, and PCB substrates.


Bare board FR4 material


FR-4 is a code name for a fire-resistant material grade, which represents a material specification in which resin materials must be able to self-extinguish after combustion. It is not a material name, but a material grade. Therefore, there are currently many types of FR-4 grade materials used in general circuit boards, but most of them are composite materials made of so-called four functional epoxy resin with fillers and glass fibers.

What is the use of bare PCB boards?

Classification of FR4

It has excellent electrical performance and high operating temperature, and its performance is less affected by the environment. In terms of processing technology, it has great advantages over other resin-based fiberglass cloth boards. This type of product is mainly used for double-sided PCBs and requires a large amount of usage.


Application

The most widely used product model for epoxy fiberglass fabric substrate is FR-4. Due to the development of electronic product installation technology and PCB technology, FR-4 products with high Tg have emerged.
