The circuit wiring of the schematic diagram of the introduction to PCB design, the circuit wiring is to deal with the connection of different components in the circuit. Follow the diagram below to connect the schematic circuit diagram and complete the following steps.

1. In order to make the circuit layer beautiful, you can use PAGE UP to zoom in or PAGE DOWN to zoom out. Keep CTRL pressed and use the wheel of the mouse to zoom in or zoom out the layer.

2. First connect the resistor R1 to the transistor Q1. Select Place>>Wire in the menu or click Wire in the connection toolbar to enter the wire drawing mode. The cursor will change to crosshair mode.

3. Move the cursor to the bottom of R1. When the position is correct, a red connection mark will appear at the cursor position. This means that the cursor is at the electrical connection point of the component.

4. Click or press ENTER to confirm the first connection point. When you move the cursor, a line extending from the connection point to the cursor position will appear along with the cursor.

5. Place the second connection point at the position of the electrical connection point of Q1 below R1, so that the first connection is almost drawn.

6. Move the cursor to the bottom of Q1. When the position is correct, a red connection mark will appear at the cursor position. Click or press ENTER to connect to the base point of Q1.

7. The cursor has returned to the cross hair state again, which means that you can continue to draw the second line. You can completely exit the line drawing state by right-clicking or pressing ESC, but don't exit yet.

8. Now connect C1 to Q1 and R1. Place the cursor on the connection point on the left of C1, click or press ENTER to start drawing a new connection. Move the cursor horizontally to the line where R1 and Q1 are located, the electrical connection point will appear, click or press ENTER to connect this point. In this way, the two wires are connected directly and automatically.

10. When all the lines are drawn, right-click or press ESC to exit the line drawing mode. The cursor returns to its original state.

11. If you want to move the component and the line connecting it, press and hold down the CTRL key when moving the component, or select Move>>Drag.

Network and network tagging

The points where the pins of each PCB component are connected form a network. For example, a network includes the base point of Q1, one foot of R1 and one foot of C1. In order to be able to easily distinguish the more important networks in the design, you can set network flags. Next place two power network markers:

1. Select Place>>Net Label. A dotted box will stick to the cursor.

2. Before placing, open the Net Label dialog by TAB key.

3. Enter 12V in the Net column and click OK to close.

4. In the circuit diagram, place the network mark on the line. When the network mark touches the line, the cursor will turn into a red cross. If it is a gray-white crosshair cross, it means that the pin is placed.

5. When the drawing of the first network mark is completed, it is still in the network mark mode. Before placing the second network mark, you can press the TAB key to edit the second network.

6. Enter GND in the Net column and click OK to close. Then place the marker.

7. In the circuit diagram, place the network mark on top of the wire. When the network mark touches the wire, the cursor will turn into a red cross. Right-click or press ESC to exit the drawing network mark mode.

8. Select File>>Save to save the circuit diagram and save the project.

So here, congratulations on your completion of the first circuit schematic drawn using Altium Designer. Before turning the schematic into a circuit board, the options of the project must be set.
